Mark Traub Death Reason

Show anchors like Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and Hoda Kotb announced on Wednesday that their director passed away yesterday. The anchors paid tribute to their director and also the stage manager of their show who served the channel and the show for over 35 years. Mark worked for the show for over 35 years and he officially returned from the position in 2019. Hoda said that although they are talking all about Mark’s laughs and his work, he was also the one who provided them with years of service at Today. She also added that it was very sad for them to hear about the demise that morning.

Hoda who is 55 now added to her statement that mark was from the Today family who was also the floor director and he worked on the channel and the show for over four decades. Hoda continued by saying that mark was the soul and heart of the show who passed away at the age of 64 on the 7th of December 2022. It was mentioned that Mark passed away suffering from leukaemia. It was also mentioned that Mark battled the disorder for 18 months. Savanah who is 50 now says Mark used to work on a variety of shows and also on soap operas as he. She also mentions that Mark worked on Saturday Night Live as well while he worked for 35 years on Today.

Savanah continued by saying that Mark was generous, kind, and a fun guy whose demise news was heartbreaking for all of them. Mark retired from his position in 2019 and at the time of his retirement, Mark stated that he wanted to just sleep and watch his crew from his house. Mark wanted to live a peaceful life. He mentions that throughout the one-third of his life he has known Today and he added that it was his life dream that came true when he had the opportunity to work with the Today family and it was vital for him and the Today family as well. Al Roker added that Mark will be missed on the Today show and he will always be a part of their team.
