Rahul, who sustained several injuries was hospitalized and was taken care of. Kashmiri police in a Twitter post said that the injured Pandit was transferred to a hospital where was succumbed to his injuries. Investigations were held, and it was revealed that terrorists were involved in this crime and used pistols to commit the crime. They also wrote the terrorists fired upon Rahul Bhat at Tahsildar’s office and he was immediately hospitalized. Despite, the police investigations, security forces are also having a search operation to track down the terrorists. Though the government officials were treated, he couldn’t survive the attack and died on the same day.

Omar Abdullah National Conference Vice president said that he condemn the attack on the deceased and he also sent his condolences to the family of Rahul Bhatt. He also said that the young man had life whole life to experience ahead and so much to experience, but was allegedly shot dead. Along with the Vice president, several others including CPI leader Mohammed Yusuf, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, and the People’s Democratic Party have also shared their views and thoughts on the incident. They said they were devastated and heartbroken by the incident. The deceased had a family consisting of his wife, a girl child, and his parents to look after. The terrorists left behind a letter in which they stated that if the Hindus didn’t vacate the area then they will have to face consequences and will rot in hell. Another case occurred this summer in April when a pandit named Bal Krishan was killed allegedly along with two Bihar laborers. Last year a murder was committed in the same manner. Mohd Shafi, a local resident was also killed by the terrorists. Alongside two innocents from Alamgari Zara were shot dead, in the same manner. Investigations are held upon the incident and police are trying to cope with the situation.
